The 2018-19 away shirt is from when Stoke replaced manager Paul Lambert with Gary Rowett and changed the team to try and win promotion back to the Premier League. Stoke spent over £30 million on Benik Afobe, Sam Clucas, Peter Etebo, Tom Ince and James McClean. Despite going on a ten-game unbeaten run (including six draws), they up 16th in the Championship. Rowett was sacked at the beginning of January 2019 and replaced by Nathan Jones.
